After Fukushima nuclear accident, Nuclear research is studied safety of nuclear energy. ATF (Accident Tolerant Fuel) technology has become important.
Our laboratory adopted multi-tube drawing process as ATF technology. Multi-tube drawing process is way to make two different tubes into one.
The drawing technology is non-coating roll press processes in room temperature that inserting small tubes into large tubes and compress. Manufactured tubes are gapless and compact between layers.
The multi-tube has high mechanical strength and good anti-oxidation properties.
Swaging technology is expected that contributes to the development of fuel cladding for accident tolerant.
